DESCRIPTION OF COURSE
You will learn all aspects of sewing to create this lovely jacket. Due to the detail of the pattern, this course will run over two days.
Join us for this fantastic class with expert tuition from Tracy to give you the skill to confidently use your sewing machine and make a useful garment.
This is your first step to making wearable clothes with confidence. Not only that you’ll make new friends with the same aim! Come and enjoy the friendly and enthusiastic ambience of Karelia House.
What will Karelia House provide?
Pattern (Sew Serendipity Pattern – Dakota Jacket), Iron, Ironing Board.
Lunch is home made soup with a selection of sandwiches with tea and or coffee, all of which is included in the course price
What do participants need to bring with them?
A fully operational sewing machine (Brother sewing machines available for small rental charge, £5), buttonhole foot, sharp scissors, pins, hand sewing needle, tracing paper, pencil, tracing wheel, fabric chalk/marker. (All participants must also bring: Main Fabric, lining fabric. Available from Karelia House in a large variety of patterns and colours.
